Riparian Mercer County
As life has progressed–career has evolved, family has grown–I find myself taking fewer photographs. But this does not mean my love of nature has shrunk. If anything, it has grown. Time in nature has become more sacred, more spiritual. I sometimes find myself simply wandering the beautiful creek banks and riparian glens near where I live (which is Mercer County, New Jersey), with no intent other than to recharge.
Recently, I found myself musing that not enough people in the area appreciate these beautiful waterways. Then I remembered that my camera may be one way to help change that. So I started bringing it with me again. They aren’t photography outings the way they used to be. I am not out seeking to make images, but rather seeking to connect with the landscape, while being prepared to take some of the beauty home with me if I feel so inclined.
I hope you enjoy this collection, and I hope it makes you want to go explore some creeks. If you live in the area and what to honor it by using some of these photographs for artwork in your home, please do not hesitate to reach out!
